More on Kindness Week
Here’s a summary of the Kindness Week activities that took place across the campus this year:
“Catcha Being Kind” – this beloved tradition will return which allows kids and teachers to recognize random acts of kindness and feature winners during afternoon announcements. Winners will also receive prizes!
Teacher Recognition – students are encouraged to write kind notes to their teachers, and we also thank our amazing teachers with our second annual Taco Truck lunch on Wednesday.
Special Assembly – the kids enjoy the “Art of Inspiration,” a very special experience where a speaker talks to them about various kindness related themes, all while painting a large one of kind piece of art that will leave a literal mark of kindness on our campus.
Giving Back – nothing evokes the spirit of kindness like giving back to those who need it, and students have the opportunity to do that via donations to Ascension School. They learn more about ways to care for others outside of our own community during the school week.
We hope our students are impacted by these thoughtful activities on campus, and that you’re encouraged to share kindness in your own homes as well. May we all feel inspired and remember the words of Sister Stella: let’s all leave people a little better than we found them.
